The Need for Efficient P & K Nutrition
Despite advances in crop varieties and production technologies, efficient nutrient management remains critical for achieving higher yields and quality.
Phosphorus plays a key role in plant metabolism, while potassium contributes to stress tolerance and physiological balance. However, conventional soil application faces challenges such as phosphate fixation, limited availability and inefficient nutrient uptake.
To address these limitations, research was initiated on Fixation, Solubility, Uptake and Availability (FSUA) of P & K, focusing on improving their application efficiency for sustainable food production.
